Friedman Memorial Airport, SUN, is in nearby Hailey (approximately 20 minutes) with direct flights from several major cities. Airlines that service SUN are: Delta, United, American and Alaska.

You can also fly into Boise Airport, BOI, and drive into Sun Valley (approximately 2.5 hours away via car).

The Pioneer Saloon

A James Beard Award–winning Ketchum institution (nicknamed "the Pio") with roots going back to the 1940s — known for hearty steaks, prime rib, fresh seafood, and hard liquor, open daily with no reservations.

Vintage

A cozy fine dining restaurant in a small historic cabin in the heart of Ketchum, serving New American cuisine with an emphasis on organic and naturally raised products and an extensive wine list.

Michel's Christiania Restaurant & Bar

Sun Valley's fine French dining destination, open since 1994, run by chef-owner Michel Rudigoz with a cozy atmosphere and an Olympic-memorabilia-filled bar that's first-come, first-served.

The Roundhouse

An iconic on-mountain restaurant perched at 7,700 feet atop Bald Mountain, accessible only by gondola, serving New American cuisine with panoramic mountain views. A bucket-list dining experience — reservations required in summer.

Cookbook Restaurant

A casual daytime bistro and deli open weekdays, focused on fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients — think inventive salads, sandwiches, soups, and homemade desserts.

Bigwood Bread

Whiskey's on Main

Whiskey’s on Main in Ketchum, Idaho is a historic venue and sports bar that offers a lively and casual atmosphere for sports enthusiasts. Located in the heart of downtown Ketchum, Whiskey’s boasts a wide selection of brews including local craft brews, as well as a full bar with a variety of spirits and cocktails.

Warfield

A craft distillery and brewery in downtown Ketchum with a full restaurant attached — known for organic beers and house-made spirits, with a mountain-casual vibe and a rooftop patio.

HIKING

Bald Mountain Summit (8 mi · 3,100 ft gain · Strenuous) — Hike the ski mountain in full summer bloom. Trail access from River Run or Warm Springs.
Adams Gulch Trail (3–9 mi loop options · Moderate) — A local favorite just outside Ketchum. Wildflowers peak in early August.
Harriman Trail (30 mi paved · Easy) — Flat, paved trail connecting Ketchum to Bellevue along the Big Wood River. Perfect for walking, cycling, or a morning run with mountain views.

What is the dress code for the Welcome Party?

Western attire! Think cowboy boots, hats, bolo ties, and anything with a Western flair. Check out the Ladies and Gents Pinterest boards on the Wedding page for inspiration.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Black tie optional. Men are encouraged to wear a tuxedo or dark suit — formal cowboy boots and hats are welcome too. Women should wear a floor-length gown or formal cocktail dress.

*Please note that the ceremony will take place on grass in case that impacts your shoe choice!

Are kids welcome?

Kids are warmly invited to the Welcome Party on Thursday, August 6th! The wedding celebration on Friday, August 7th is an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements in advance.

Is there parking at Trail Creek Grounds?

No — there is no parking at the venue. Shuttles will be provided from Sun Valley Resort and Tamarack Lodge (located in downtown Ketchum). Please plan to use the shuttle from your accommodation. If you are driving, please park at Sun Valley Resort and take the shuttle from there.

What time should I arrive for the wedding?

Please arrive at Trail Creek Grounds no later than 4:30 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM at Trail Creek Grounds. We will provide the shuttle schedule closer to the date.

Can I bring a plus-one?

While we wish we could include everyone, our guest list is final and we're only able to accommodate those named on your invitation. If you have any questions about who is included, please don't hesitate to reach out!

What is the weather like in Sun Valley during the summer?

August in Sun Valley is beautiful! Expect warm days with highs around 78°F and cooler evenings that can dip down to the low 50s, so we'd recommend bringing a light layer for after sunset. Sun Valley is known for its crisp, dry mountain air, so it's generally very comfortable. The wedding will be outdoors, so keep that in mind when planning your outfit!
